People who are trying to kill themselves with food

I always forget to draw the eyebrows when I'm drawing. Sometimes I forget the ears, too.

Summer officially begins on Thursday & I'm totally excited. I'm having lots of anxiety about making it through my final tomorrow, though. Dr. G has basically taken pity on me & gave me a really decent grade on the "penultimate" exam. Such a nerdy password he did for that one. I didn't find out what that word meant until Saturday while watching Supernatural.  I doubt that's where he got it from.
I wonder if I could manage to go facebookless during the summer. I mean, I know I CAN, but I don't do well with constraints. My friend MS manages full-time without one so... surely I can do it for a measly 3 months.

Yoda one for me

I was just thinking about a moment last week that I had thought was hilarious, & I want to remember it.
This (kind of) friend of mine was telling MJ how he was sorry for puking in her sink, but he couldn't figure out the R2D2 trash can.

It's not you, it's me

Maybe it really is me though. I'm going to get a tattoo soon that says LOVERS ARE LUNATICS.

But anyway

I give up on that #PHOTOADAYAPRIL thing. Rosh should be pleased. :P JK bro

I am still unbelievably tired from Sunday's kayaking/canoeing expedition. I'm blogging to document when the events transpired so that when I look back on this blog I can remember the muscle tightening and flesh burning effects of that day. I am nothing if not dramatic.

I think this photo was probably staged, but it really encapsulates Ellen DeGeneres's closing statement on her show everday, "Be kind to one another." Also, you should never take yourself too seriously. (Note to self.)

I'm the worst

Some days I crave praise and attention. Like on one of those days, I'll get a compliment & be like Fuck yeah I'm awesome. Other days I'm like, Fuck you what do you know about me. I hope everybody's like that & it's not just me. I'm feeling pretty shitty right now. For no reason, too. Because I had a pretty excellent day. Mostly.

I am the most awkward though. I can't even discuss the details on this blog because I'm so embarrassed. Rosh, it involves AJ, of all people. Bah.

I'm trying to keep my shit together for the last few weeks of class, but I'm scared I might fail my CS class so obviously I'm not doing anything to prevent that. Just going to stress about it until it actually happens. I never practice like I should. Isn't that weird how that's the only class I care about & it's the class I try the least in. WTF.

MS gave me this little nugget of wisdom that I really like, "I can see why you like him still, but you do need to be careful. School and work come first." It's plainly obvious what she's referring to, the fact that I'm being stupid & needy over a dude. That's why I love her though. We keep each other sane.

This is what I'm most afraid of:

You know how on most laptops, there's a little scrolly thing that lets you scroll? Mine has all of a sudden discontinued working. Oh wait, it works now.

I just want to say that Calub is still my superhero. I want to go where he is. I would get on a plane tomorrow if I didn't only have $17 in my checking account.

My tooth hurts so goddamn bad. I think the tooth I had a root canal on, fucked up the position of the tooth behind it & now it's all out of whack in there.

I am so awkward

GOD

Where you ate breakfast

I did not do this shit on purpose. I had my blueberries in a little baggie on my lap & when I was on my way to work this morning, I pressed on the gas & all the blueberries spilled out everywhere. What a bitch.

I probably just found my new favorite movie.
I might have to watch it again today. It's hilarious. And totally realistic. I totally don't understand it, but I love it.

I'm super excited that about Lena Dunham's new show, "Girls."
She's my hero.

Posting from the future again. This is my Uncle's plate from lunch on Easter sunday (April 8, 2012). I forgot to take a picture of my own plate so I took one of his plate, obviously. He pretty much got some of everything. G's creamed corn, lima beans,  & deviled eggs, T&D's peas & cornbread, Papaw's mashed potatoes, G&P's spiral ham, B&L's mac & cheese, & G&P's salad. Pretty good.

someone who makes me happy

Phillip!!! I'm posting from the future because I didn't have a good picture of someone that made me happy on April 4th so I waited until I had a good one & it just so happened to happen today (Friday, April 6th).
MJ, Mall, & I went to First Friday today, which is this little festival thing that happens on Broadstreet in Gadsden where the people of Etowah county go to gawk and stare at the weirdos that decide to show up(that's what I do anyway). Also, there's usually some food & charity stuff going on.
Anyway, back to the photo... that's my hairdresser, Phillip. He's also my grandmother's, my aunt's, two of my cousins' & my boss's hairdresser. He is just the sweetest man. I love him to bits. He's a huge nerd, too. So awesome.

Needless to say, he makes me happy.

Rate My Professor

DOT COM
I've been trying to pick out my classes for fall & I just had to see what my fellow peers had to say about Dr. G. I can see why he thinks those review sites are so pointless & annoying. I am cracking up. There are some reviews from '03 that are obviously written by girls. I'm noticing a trend in all of the reviews, they all have to do with whether or not the reviewer liked him & they say almost nothing about the course.
I don't know though... I definitely judge a class by the teacher. So hypocrite = me.

Music Snob

You know I hate the word obsession, but all of the synonyms on the internet are sub par. Passionate is a strange word. I've been doing some research on Walk the Moon & they are everything I love about music. Their music is upbeat & kind of nonsensical & the lead singer is good looking. Also, they recently went on tour with one of my other favorite bands, Young the Giant.
I try not to be a music snob, but I totally am. My music stomps all other music.
Walk the Moon's doing a performance in Cincinnati, OH on record store day & it would only take 6 hours to get there!

Your Reflection

your reflection

I found this photo thing yesterday (April 2nd) so I'm doing some time travel and posting from the past. Also, instagram emailed me today & said that the app for android is now here! Yay
Today's photo is not from instagram because I took the photo prior to the email & for some reason instagram doesn't like the size of my already taken photos so I can't upload them there & get the cool hipster vintage look.

Root Canal

The thing I love about having a different spring break than the rest of my friends is I don't have to wear pants.
I pretty much hate everything else about it. I miss my friends. I did get to see Rosh on Saturday, which was AWESOME & I should be hanging out with MS tonight.
Had to get a root canal & it wasn't bad at all. Went to a different dentist than I normally do because our insurance has changed since the last time I went to the dentist. This new guy was really nice.
Probably the best dentist I've been to. Funny, smart, handsome.
The whole right side of my face is numb though.

Interviewer: What piece of advice would you give to Stephen Fry, aged 10.
Stephen Fry:  You’re not alone. Everything you feel is fine. Only feel guilty about things you have done that are mean and cheap and unkind. Don’t feel guilty about what you feel, no matter what the world might think. Everyone is scared inside, not just you. That’s why reading is so good. Keep doing it. Writers are people brave enough to make you feel better about being human because they’re not afraid to reveal their own frailties, weaknesses, desires, failures, and appetites.

march madness

I'm glad that I'm still young. I know that people younger than me have children all the time, but I can't imagine having a child. I haven't even lived & experienced the world so how could I teach my child, if I magically had one tomorrow? How do you explain death to a child? When they ask about what happens after we die, how do you tell them that you don't know? That there is nobody on this earth that definitely knows? We had the most depressing discussion ever in CS today. Now I'm all "life sucks & then you die." So yay!
Also, it doesn't help that March has totally sucked so far.
My uncle D didn't recover from brain surgery. He passed away on the 12th. It was all too sudden.
I have to get a root canal on tuesday. Toothache was probably the worst pain of my life, but now I'm better because I have a nice pain killers.

Talking during the movies

"I’m saying these nice things about her because I also want to tell you guys that because she is such an outgoing person who is never short on conversation, she talks during movies. A lot. I used to get snappy with her (in a friend way!) but I’ve since learned to deal with it. As much as I don’t enjoy talkers during movies, there is nothing worse than a friend-shusher. It’s not my place to shush. We have a good system going now. She talks, and I nod or shake my head while rarely taking my eyes off the screen. We’ve made it work."
--why do i have a blog

That blogger is probably one of my very favorites. Sometimes I'll read a post & I'll be like holy fuck she is in my head thinking my thoughts. This post about her friend talking during the movies is one of those. Except I'm the person that talks during the movies and I have some shusher friends that should just deal with my talking.

Can this be a thing?

I want to be a professional listener. Not like listening to somebody's problems & then I'm supposed to fix them... no. I want to watch TED Talks and youtube videos and travel around the world to watch impressive people give impressive speeches. I want to sit in on classes of teachers that I really like & just listen to their lectures.

Wednesday, March 7

Well nothing's perfect

I don't know.
So this Kony 2012 video has gone viral. So many strong emotions. I have also read an article from John Green, who/m I respect very much, about how Invisible Children, inc. may not be the greatest charity ever.
I think it's important in ANY situation to have all of the information so that you can make a decision based on what matters to you.
The media is really important in today's society. That sucks, but it's hard to deny that is the case. The movie really expressed that point, but at the same time, it made me feel like I wasn't intelligent enough to know about this situation and it kind of played on that feeling.
I totally see where John Green is coming from. He wanted to make it known that has believed for a very long time that the LRA is horrible.
I don't necessarily agree with the plan of the Invisible Children, inc., but I also don't have a better plan. I think that Joseph Kony should be stopped & that's all I know. I hope that if others don't agree with the IC inc. plan, maybe a person will step forward and have a better solution. The problem before was that not enough people even knew what was happening. With all of today's technology, the world is so much smaller and it's amazing to think that people don't even know who Kony is. What I'm hoping is that since more people are finding out about this situation, someone who didn't know before might have a better solution to the problem. I mean, I was definitely ignorant about this. I wasn't even born in the 80s when Kony started, I didn't/still don't pay attention to the news, and I probably would never have heard of Kony unless somebody told me about it. The people that told me about it just so happen to be IC, inc.

He was a gambler.

I'm having a hard time getting into the mindset of programming this weekend. I want to finish these 2 programs so badly, but I have a hard time naming the stupid variables. I keep wanting to name them Thing1, Thing2, Thing3, etc. Which is completely not what they should be named. I wonder how long it took Dr. G to be able to write code from memory. Because it seems like it would take FOREVER. I've been trying for 3 months to remember code & all I can remember is modulus. Referencing constantly is such a pain in the ass. MJ makes fun of me all the time because I want to just know things. I don't want to have to practice it & practice it before I can know it. That's why I like trivia so much, I think. You can't practice trivia. You either know it or you don't. I mean, I guess there could be some practicing involved like with flash cards or whatever, but all the people I know who are good at trivia, don't look at flashcards. They just know the fact because they heard it somewhere at some place and it stuck in their head. Why didn't "God" give me a photogenic memory? I would put it to such good use. I wouldn't even be snooty about having one either, I would be totally humble about it.

Oh something funny

So my MS 112 professor is kinda dorky. He's the same dude I had last year & I drew an astonishing resemblance of him in a note [See here]. He is so dorky. Anyway, in class he was on example number 8 & he asked if anybody knew another word for 8. This girl in the front row asked her friend that she was sitting next to (very loudly, I could hear her perfectly & I sit in the back) if he knew what 8 in French was. He said "two cubed"

Elevators

[...]What I can fathom, however, is the elevator in the library. Every morning I longingly look at the people waiting for the elevator as I trudge past them and walk the mere two flights of stairs to my classroom. At this point I haven’t had my coffee and I just want to ride the elevator like all of the other lazy people, but I physically can’t bring myself to do it because I’m fat. And when I realized this is the reason why, I suddenly understood why Whoopi Goldberg once said she will not eat fried chicken or watermelon in public — despite loving both foods — on principal alone.
~*~wish I was skinny so I could ride elevators~*~
      -- whydoihaveablog

This near exact situation happens to me every tues/thurs. Nobody is even standing at the elevator though because my college is so absurdly small, but still, what if somebody walks by & sees me in the act. Sometimes, after class a person that I'm walking behind will be like, oh do you want me to hold the elevator? in a totally nice way, but every time I'm like, wow, they must think I can't go down the stairs because I'm so fat. Irrational? Maybe.

I do sometimes use the brand spanking new elevator in Bibb because if it ever trapped me in, I wouldn't feel so claustrophobic 'cause it's so big & spacious. Also, it never smells bad in there.

Weird.

On my way back to Gadsden, the reality of mortality hit me like a ton of bricks. Me & everybody I know is going to die. Also, Charles Trippy has a brain tumor// :(  (The last guy on  your right)

What is up with all this cancer everywhere? Last year was the first time I really was affected by a cancer diagnosis. My Papaw had esophageal cancer, you know? I obviously had heard of cancer long before that because I haven't been living under a rock, but because I am a selfish, selfish young person that still thinks the world revolves around me, cancer happened to other people. Not me. Not my family. That's not the case anymore, of course. Now it seems like cancer is happening to everyone, everywhere, all at once, constantly, & it is terrifying.
I watched Steve Jobs's famous Stanford graduation speech today because I was on Pinterest, scrolling & scrolling into infinity when I happened across this interesting black & white photo of text that said, "Stay foolish. Stay hungry." I didn't know exactly what that meant so I went to the Google & sought the answers. No matter how you feel about his company & brand, you cannot deny that he can give an inspirational speech.
He says something about living like you're dying & it's just so heartbreaking that he died in the middle of what could've been a very long life.

Further proof that my mother is the smartest, most intelligent person in the universe. She already knew about the missing books of the bible. Yeah. Boom.

"[something reddit blah blah...]are like a gun. You could use it to help yourself, or you'll accidentally blow your face off." -The genius that is, Philip DeFranco   I already told you how much I love him. I am hardcore in love with him.

Friday, February 24

Today was a very interesting day

Dr. P told us about the books of the bible that were deleted. I am so intrigued by these. And of the 3 Christian people I've told about it, none have heard of this. Which I also find very interesting. Are some churches choosing to remain ignorant about this, or is it something else? I must do more research on this.

Dr. G spent the day talking about algorithms and then immediately after I got into my car, my radio said something like alt nation is algorithm free listening enjoyment or something to that effect. I'm total shit at remembering things word for word. The important part is that they said algorithm!

When I came home, there was nobody at the house, which is super nice to have the house to yourself sometimes.

I came home to a new pair of shoes! :)

They're Toms. Now I feel like I've finally gained entry to this imaginary, only in my head pretentious club. Pretentious is probably one of my favorite words.

I have found my new favorite drink.
It's lemonade mixed with a few tablespoons of cherry juice and 2 maraschino cherries. It's so pretty too.

I went to MJ's apartment after that, to spend time with her & her lovely roommate & to buy them food. So MJ & I hopped in the car to get Chinese take-out. I decided I would go in & order and she could just sit in the car because she wasn't exactly dressed for being in public. It turns out I left my headlights on for too long. The battery died & I had to call my Papaw for him to bring the jumper cables.  It was only like eight, but that's still pretty late for him to be out & about. I'm super lucky to have him. He wasn't even upset.

Then we went to the apartment & finally ate our supper & watched that annoying Nancy Grace talk about the little girl who was abused to death in Attalla.

More exciting than usual, but not too exciting. Just the way I like it.

EDIT: (1:10a)  Oh I almost forgot another cool thing. I did a facebook poll today & a surprising number of people responded. I think it has something to do with the fact that I manually asked people to participate & it gave them a notification. Really though, I was surprised that so many friends & strangers commented on the question. I didn't find any conclusive evidence one way or the other, but it made me smile & that's all that matters.

Happy VD Suckas

I like saying VD for valentine's day because it's like saying happy venereal disease.

Chris Traeger reminds me of my MS112 teacher a lot because they both say "LITERALLY" too often. That's pretty much where the similarities end.

It seems I like to compare people to other people.

So I'm contemplating majors again. I'm thinking I'm going to have to take a few of those "What should you be when you grow up" tests again. I just hate English. It's horrible & I'm an American so I don't have to do anything that I don't want to do.
Dr. G said something that really freaked me out because I thought for a second that he read my blogs. He was talking about careers & how you shouldn't major in something that you hate/are bad at. This example is what freaked me out. He said, "Like I hear some people say, I'm an English major, but I hate writing and reading. & I want to say to them, 'Why are you an English major then?'" So you can see why I was like whoa. But then I decided that I'm not internet famous enough for that.

Every time I watch Phillip DeFranco videos, I fall deeper and deeper in love with him. He has a weird looking face, & I'm shallow so that's why I've never watched his videos before this year, but I decided to take a chance & I'm so glad I did. He has all of the thoughts I've ever wanted to have before I have them. Except he talks about boobs a lot & I don't really feel the same way about them as he does. Everything else though, spot on. -------------> sxephil

Blood Pressure

So today in class Dr. G asked this girl in the front row for a song title because he was making a program that sorts song titles and ANYWAY she gave a Beyonce (Rosh!) song & then he asked for another song from somebody else that's from a different type of music. So I waited the allotted amount of time to let somebody else answer & nobody did so I piped up "Blood Pressure"
Of course he had never heard of MUTEMATH! Which is so precarious because they're an awesome band. So he asked me what other band mutemath sounds like... if he put it into pandora, what would play next  & I was like, "Maybe Foo Fighters?" Which is probably inaccurate, but I am horrible under pressure so that's all I could think of. He was like oh Foo Fighters, nice. & I was like eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Listen though. He's hot for an old, married guy & today he called me Miss Barrow, which is so endearing. (So a stranger reading this would think OMG what a perverted freak, but seriously, if you knew me, you would roll your eyes & think, Oh Annabelle. Because it's not that serious.) At the beginning of the semester, I was really scared of him & I can't really put my finger on why, but he's just not intimidating anymore. He's like one of those nerdy, pretentious guys, but he's also really hilarious. What makes this extra creepy, he got his PhD before I even graduated highschool.
Okay here's what Dr. G would look like if he had a lot of tattoos and longer sideburns:

The actual dude in the photo is Coley O'Toole, a band member of We The Kings. He has a lot of photos online where he looks like John Stamos, but Dr. G doesn't look like John Stamos at all. So I guess that's where they differ.

I wish I had the balls to put up a comparison photo, but another one of my worst fears is people finding out I've talked about them on my blog without their consent. Posting a photo would be too much. There's no mystery in that. But seriously, take my word for it. They look just alike.

Bitching

Just so everybody on the internet knows, I watch more youtube videos than any human should and so because of that, I have to watch those lame ass advertisements. The advertisement on this We Are Scientists video has Elton John as a king that is able to give or deny pepsi products to people & it reminded me of this time at work when this lady was talking to me about how much her husband used to love Elton John until he found out he was (whispers) gay. You know how people do. Whispering like it's something obscene. People are assholes. Elton John is a legend. Why would you not love him because of his sexual orientation that does not affect or harm anyone IN ANY WAY AT ALL. I wish I had the juevos to make my opinions known IRL. I mean if someone asked me my opinions, I'm most likely going to tell the truth. I probably won't voice them by my own accord. I don't like to stir up trouble. I'm just not that kind of person.

I'm beginning to realize that I'm one of those pigheaded people that wants others to do things exactly how I do things. For example, I get so frustrated when I have to show my grandfather how to do something from his email(he uses yahoo) & I want him to just get gmail because it would make my life so much easier.
I'm so selfish.

SO MOODY.

Occasionally

I have these moments where I'm like, "I'm a total fucking genius."  It's usually a surprise & I'm just left floored by how great I am. Like an epiphany about myself.

For example,
In the seventh grade, Coach G made us create our own country. Mine was awesome, but that's not why I'm so awesome. When my brother was in seventh grade, he also had Coach G. My brother, unfortunately, got all most of my dad's genes, so now he's like border-line mentally challenged. He's not really, but I guess it's hard to know that if you don't know him personally. I'm making fun of him, is what I'm saying. Okay anyway, for this "Create a country" project, you had to make up a national anthem for your country. My bro needed serious help with his so I basically took over & made it. I was going through my files the other day, trying to get rid of shit & I found it. I am brilliant. I can't even.

O Britland
(To the tune of O Canada) ((Sort of))
O Britland, O Britland
Round the clock, lifeguard stand
O Britland, O Britland
The beaches are vast and grand
Our people are extremely tanned
We use sunscreen, don’t misunderstand
O Britland, O Britland
 Round the clock, lifeguard stand

O Britland, O Britland
How we love this country
O Britland, O Britland
Your couches are extra comfy
Monster contains ginseng extract
Refrigerator is always packed
O Britland, O Britland
How we love this country

Okay so I know that this is mega shitty compared to some people's accomplishments, but for me... this is mega.

Norma Jeane Baker

A phrase

I've always wanted to tell somebody "Fuck you & the horse you rode in on."
If you checked my youtube history then you would see that I just watched George Takei say that to William Shatner & I only watched that for research purposes.

Like, Holy Shit

Why did nobody tell me about god damn spanx?! I'm probably the most self-conscious person on the face of this planet. My belly's too bulgy and my feet are too big and my arms are jiggly and my hair is frizzy, but fucking spanx guys! Seriously.  I love dresses. I really, really do. The only thing is that the cute sundressy types are very thin and you can see ALL the ugly parts, so I tend to buy all sorts of cute dresses, but I never wear them because they make me uncomfortable. But today I found this adorable dress that I just had to have. The only problem was that my bottom half looked all bulgy in the dress. I thought, I wonder if there's such a thing that would instantly make me less bulgy. I mean, ultimately I would like to look like I'm wearing spanx, without actually having to wear spanx, but holy fuck! They are so awesome. So many dresses in my future.

But I'm thinking that spanx will be sticking around for at least a little while longer because I've had a weekend full of binge-ing. G&P are out of town so I've been eating all of the things. ALL OF THE THINGS.

I'm beginning to realize that I'm going to actually have to work this semester to keep my head above water. I'm not drowning yet, but I can feel it creeping. Winter break was so relaxing. I didn't have to constantly remember what I needed to get done. There wasn't anything that I really needed to get done over winter  break. Now I have tons of shit that I have to remember to get done. Sucks.

John Corbett is a super hot older guy.

Also, the title of this blog post is a pun because tomorrow I'm going to church! My jefe has finally worn me down and I'm going to go to her church. I'm hoping that this can be like a "okay, I went, now can we talk about something else please?" But I think maybe I've gotten myself into deeper shit by accepting her daily offer.  I know I talk down on religion here, but in real life, I'm much more blasé. (I had to ask Rosh how to spell blasé & I don't even think I used that correctly to mean what I mean.)

I'm no stranger to blogging...

But I am very wary of formal blogging.
I've had some form of a blog type thing since the days of Xanga, so as you've probably guessed, I'm more accustomed to posting sentence fragments AND CAPITILIZATING RANDOM THINGS & making up words (capitilizating?) and run-on sentences!!!!! Also, I am used to excessive amounts of punctuation. Anyway, what I'm getting at is, I am not so excited to learn to formally blog. I have to write blog posts for this Alabama Lit class that I'm in. And I'm pretty sure she wants us to write, like, papers. On a blog.
Speaking of excited, my grandmother has already told me that she wants to read every book that we read in class and she wants me to tell her everything that we've discussed in class so that I can discuss it again with her. So yay.

I'm trying to write an intro about myself that doesn't seem too douchey. IT'S SO HARD.

Rosh, read this guy's post. Seriously?!?! How do I follow that?!

Nerdfighteria

This is the overflow room that we bought tickets for because there were a lot of people.

My grandparents came with because they like books.

He still hasn't completed TFIOS

Surprise! Actual Hank in real life!

Also, Actual John in real life!

Awkward pictures! but proof that I met them. I wish I had said hey to the Katherine though(in the far back).

Hank talking to me about his face on my shirt.

Rain.

I had a lot of fun!

In other cancer news...

Before he went to sit with my aunt N, My Papaw went to his cancer doctor to get the last round of biopsies explained. I overheard all of this from my Grandmother talking to somebody on the phone this morning about it. She would have told me, but when they got home yesterday I was falling asleep in Papaw's chair so I went on to bed. Anyway, Papaw had the test done a few weeks ago to see if things were still okay with his esophagus. The dr. said everything looks really nice in there. No new stuff. He'll have to go back & get another test done in 3 weeks. My grandmother said this, "The doctor said checking again in 3 months was probably overly thorough, but he told us he was just treating him like he would his father or favorite uncle."  Which is really sweet. My grandfather really is the best person. My cousin calls him adorable all the time, which I think is weird but it's probably pretty accurate.

Also, I finished The Fault in Our Stars. It was so very good. I meant to put it down & read it for a few nights, but I couldn't. I just read it straight through. I ugly cried through the whole thing. It was so good though. My favorite of John Green's.

My Great Uncle D

This is my grandfather's sister's husband. He had surgery yesterday on his brain. Not just for fun. He had a fast growing tumor that needed to be removed very quickly. My grandparents went to Bham yesterday to sit with uncle D's wife, N, while he had surgery. The surgery went okay, I think. The doctors think that they removed all of the tumor, but with it being in the brain, there's a lot that's involved. Uncle D had a seizure right after surgery which is not uncommon when dealing with the brain, but it's not good. There's a lot of chemo and radiation to follow.
I'm upset and everything, but I feel like I should be more upset. I'm not sure if it's because of my actual feelings or if it's because I'm living with my overly-emotional grandmother. I know from being around her about 5 days a week for the past year that she is a very emotional person. So in this situation, of course she's super emotional. I know that she's spent more years with him than I have. It makes sense that she is emotional. I'm unsure if she's being appropriately emotional & I'm being under-emotional.
I guess we all deal with things in our own way.

We drew names for Christmas next year for Tootsie's house and everybody is supposed to make something handmade. The idea is that you have a whole year so even if you are not creative, you have plenty of time to make something good. The name I drew was uncle D.
I want to make him this brain hat.

But I don't know if he'll find it funny or mean. Hopefully funny.
I'm not even considering the option that he won't be here to receive my gift, whatever it may be.

Feels like a Monday

Even though it's Tuesday.

Good mythical morning.

It's probably about a thousand degrees in the office right now. I'm sad that my Jefe is out with her dad today because that means he's not doing so well with his cancer treatments. On the bright side, since she's out I can turn on the air conditioner so that I don't explode.

I have the worst headache. It's right behind my eyeballs & it hurts to keep them open. I didn't get enough sleep, I think. Or maybe it's from caffeine withdrawal.

Day 5 of weight watchers. Weigh in is tomorrow. I don't really feel like I've made any changes yet, aside from the obsessive point tracking. Okay I take that back; yesterday I had 1 ounce of m&ms & it really pissed me off how unsatisfying it was. And it is 4 goddamn points for like 15 m&m's. I just wanted to have another handful and then another. So obviously that's a big problem of mine. Feelings & shit.

I keep reading these success stories from weightwatchers.com & they're inspiring and everything, but they all talk about the same freaking thing. They saw how fat they were in a picture or they went to the doctor and almost had diabetes. They were skeptical at first, but then they saw results, blah blah blah.

Most importantly, I should be receiving The Fault In Our Stars today. :) Yayyy! I'll post a picture of my J scribble this afternoon.

My sleep schedule

is all fucked up.
I'm going to be driving back to Gadsden tomorrow which will suck because I HATE driving and it's already 4AM so that means I'll probably be waking up super late tomorrow & I haven't even packed yet.
4 weeks worth of dirty clothes plus all my Christmas presents need to be put into my car. Buh.
Good news though. I'm super excited about sleeping on my new mattress at G&P's. My mattress here in Madtown is super sucky & it makes me achy. Probably my favorite Christmas present was a new mattress. :)

Is it weird that I'm scared to take my car by myself into a car wash? Gives me anxiety.

So I'm on day 3 of weight watchers & I like it so far. I'm in the phase where I'm just trying to understand what goes into my mouth everyday. I have a massive amount of points right now so it's super easy to eat whatever I want. I'm going to start exercise phase Monday.

Remind me to finish watching United States of Tara.

This is why I'm so turned off by Christians ---> Crazy Drunken Preacher
You know how in elementary school when one person would act like an idiot and everybody in the whole class would lose free seating at lunch privileges? My views on Christianity are like that. One person ruined it.

I'm a big girl now

Literally & figuratively.
'Figuratively' because yesterday was the first time I had been back to the theater since I quit. I had really planned on never going back, but J had already agreed to see New Year's Eve with me on actual new year's eve & that theater was the only theater that was playing a matinee showing. Of course the manager that I made out with for two months &then broke it off with was there & of course the plan for MS to pay for my ticket (so I could just walk around & wait for them behind the concession stand) didn't work out because we didn't talk about it beforehand & we all got confused. So if course I sucked it up & made niceities with the manager I've disliked for the past 2 years. In all seriousness, it wasn't that bad. We were both civil, which was a surprise because I expected him to act like a dick. And now I feel kinda bad about turning the corner behind the concession stand and making a throw up sound, because I know he heard.

'Literally' because I am extremely overweight. I'm actually going to do something about that this year... yay new year's resolutions.

So I stayed home for new year's this year & I can't tell if it's because I'm lame or my friends are. It's fine either way because I had a good time. My brother is at the age where I don't mind hanging out with him.

“Resolution number one: obviously, will lose twenty pounds. Number two: will find nice sensible boyfriend and not continue to form romantic attachments to alcoholics, workaholics, peeping-toms, megalomaniacs, emotional fuckwits or perverts.”—Bridget Jones

I was going to watch Bridget Jones' Diary yesterday to bring in the new year, cause you know that's how it starts with her new year's resolutions to lose weight & quit smoking & drinking. All I did was discover that my freaking dvd player is broken. Happy new year to me.

Oh man you guys

I am so good at food.
Yesterday I made home made egg rolls & home made Japanese Hibachi shrimp sauce & home made chocolate cake. Seriously the best food I've ever made so far.
I may suck at money management & social skills, but I am so good at food.

Shit.

Things were going so well, money-wise.
I was kind of managing my money. I think my fucking bank made me overdraw on purpose. It's some bullshit.
Once a month pay days are so shitty. Basically the shittiest kind of pay days.
Fucking shit I hate money.

All of the cuss words.

God damnit.

Oh girl

My hair looked good today. (Friday, because I haven't slept yet)
My face looked horrible, but my hair was fabulous/

This pancake covered sausage thing I'm eating is delicious.
Won't be eating anymore of this deliciousity after December. Losing weight this year!

I can't believe Christmas is Sunday! It has snuck up on me.

Oh man the other day, on the 18th, I was driving on 565 & this guy in front of my slammed on his brakes so I passed him & cussed at him, but then when I realized his hood flew up & it was blocking his windshield! I felt (kinda) bad for cussing at them. I didn't stop to help them or anything, they could have been murderers.

I'm excited to see The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo with my frannnnd, @Clairey_D
I hope she's not too pissed that I had to ditch her today :(

I gotta get a video game console. Knitting is just not fulfilling my "doing useless crap" needs.

Still obsessed with Toby Turner, btdubs.

About 7 hours late

Sorry Rosh. I didn't see your comment soon enough.

I think I didn't wash my pajamas correctly. They smell so weird. Usually I use too much fabric softener and my clothes smell like fake flowers or linens. Now they just smell like a mildewy wet dog.
So this week has been nice. I don't know how I've kept these amazing friends for as long as I have, but they still text me to hang out and stuff so that's pretty cool. I know we won't be close after everybody gets real jobs so it's nice for now.
Rosh puts up with my horrible mood swings and my bossy cooking tips and all of my other quirks and I will always be grateful. We hung out on Monday & it was great.
I'm glad M & I are normal friends again. I was worried there for a little while, but I was too wimpy to make the first move (well too wimpy to send the first text). All is well again.
So one of my friends who happens to be a very handsome good looking dude who has a little brother who also happens to be handsome and some super adorable parents. I just have to document that Mrs. S hugged me today! She also said that she hadn't heard from me in a while, except for facebook. AWW!! Then I thought, Oh flip, I hope I haven't posted anything that makes me look bad on there. L asked if I wanted to trade parents for a while and I was like no I just want them to adopt me. Ahh such a cool family. & L is growing a nice beard currently. So cute.

Now I'm comfortable in my weird smelling pajamas, trying to figure out this beardy knitting pattern.

Did you notice that I tried to be very vague with names? I did that on purpose. I used to make up these awesome nicknames and code names for my peers in highschool, but I can't think of anything right now. Maybe I'll become inspired later and think of some.

Rudy is my new favorite misfit

Let me tell you about this bet this guy & I made about Misfits. I say that Seth the Power guy will NOT get killed off my the end of the season & this guy says Seth will. So far the bet is in my favor. Not like he cares anyway because HE NEVER TEXTS ME BACK. Doesn't even bother me. Don't even care. >:|
Zac Efron has been popping up in my life a lot lately. In my Misfits. In the movie I went to see. In the trailers.   Not in person though. ): He has gotten to be very VERY good looking.
I have spent all day making a hat for my toddler relative. It's looking pretty shitty so far. I kind of want to quit & give up, but my great aunt has already paid me $20. Twenty whole dollars.
And I still have another one to make. By the 18th.
Only 153 more Toby Turner lazy vlogs to watch. Now 152. Then about 1000 million Tobygames to listen to. Don't care about watching because video games... buh.
Toby loved Heroes too! Ahhh Heroes. I'm so sad.
My grandmother said I was becoming skinnier. I think she was mocking me.
I cleaned my room here in Gadrock and I can't find anything. Everything's moved.
Don't mean to be a Patty Pissypants, but I will anyway... Why am I an English major?! Again. Seriously I cannot write professionally AT ALL. What am I supposed to do with my life? How do I fake professional writing? Uhh I'm prematurely worrying about next semester. Don't think it's premature to worry about life though. Since I'm living it. Now. Right now.

IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS

I'm a lonely boy

I looked on youtube for The Black Keys new song, but it wasn't at the top of the search results. Paula Anka was at the top.

Which then obviously reminds me of Gilmore Girls. >>> The Real Paul Anka!

Currently making myself a headband because my hair is jacked up today & pretty much every other day too.

Finally finals

So last week totally sucked. Mostly because I stressed so much and didn't actually study. I should've sucked it up & studied. Now I'm going to have a horrible gpa. I won't be able to get into the English honor society. I'll be a poor bum forever.
Why am I an English major, again?

In happier, less sucky news, I can now get back to my knitting full time!!!!!!!! I found this fucking awesome beer sweater pattern yesterday & I'm going to make them for EVERYONE. I don't care if they don't drink beer. They will start once they see how mo-effing adorable the little bottle sweaters are.

alcohol dirty malls pensacola florida bars

Two finals on monday. Back to back. Not even worried. I should be, but you know how I do.
"Trojans in my head"
It's really hot in my car & it's super cold outside. Quiero una siesta màs que ir a mi empleo. Pretty sure I aced my spanish class. I wish Sr. Pacheco was teaching 102 next semester.
School blows. Also, walking up stairs blows.
These are the most brutal stairs I've ever climbed.

My jefe brought me a jesus book to read. I'll read anything. Or I should say, I'll try to read anything. It's pretty weird so far. All about how women are brought up to believe in fairytales because "god created us that way", but as adults, guys aren't good at romance. Well known concept, but there's an added twist. The book wants females to love god because he is supposedly the only one that will be your prince charming. Which is so creepy to me.  Also it talks a lot about women are guilty all the time for being not enough or too much. I relate to that. The feelings of being not nice enough or strong enough or skinny enough, but also feeling too emotional and too sensitive. Then they tie it into jesus & it loses me.
I wonder all the time if I should tell my jefe that I'm just not really into religion or should I just suck it up & go to their church. She probably talks to me about it at least 3 days a week & all I do is just sit there nodding my head. When, in reality, I have no idea what she's talking about nor do I want to know.
So I'm probably going to hell.

Boom. Blogged.
