collective consciousness

Sometimes I'm super perturbed by "coincidences."

There have been a strangely numerous amount of times I've gone to the shop and realized I'm accidentally wearing matching t-shirt colors.

Today I mentioned in passing while we were all in the kitchen about how I really wanted pizza and B/C were both like, "WELL GUESS WHAT WE WERE PLANNING ON ORDERING MELLOW"

Also, yesterday I had a plan to post some sky pictures on ig that I had collected and a friend of mine posted a sky picture on ig so now I can't post mine because it will look like I'm posting mine because they posted theirs, even though that is truly not the case.

We're just connected; I don't know what more to tell you.

Colorado Food

4/28/15 (Disclaimer: this is from ATL) Airport bagel. I woke up at 1am on the 28th and by 7am I was really hungry and knew that I couldn't wait it out until I got to Denver. I had to get some sustenance. So I picked the place with the coolest logo and bagels. Also, I purchased a subpar hot chocolate.

4/28/15 Biker Jim's! Pictured are my lovely Colorado companions for the week. None were aware of this picture. I got the wild boar dog(with apricot and cranberries) with The International(Wasabi aioli, caramelized apples and shaved lrich cddda) topping. This food & the atmosphere was really the best and really set the bar high for Colorado food.

4/28/15 This soda was available at Biker Jim's and Yellowbelly, which is exactly what I want for every restaurant. Cool sodas that taste flavor-y and handcrafted.

4/28/15 The chicken from Yellowbelly was delish. There was this vinegar-y salsa water that went with and it was also delicious. I hoped for more from the macaroni pie, but it was still enjoyable.

4/29/15 On the morning of April 29th, KG graciously bought me a chicken taco biscuit from Taco Bell for breakfast, but I completely forgot to photograph it, even though as I was taking a shower I was deciding whether or not I would take pictures of food that also is available in Alabama & I decided that I would take a picture of all Colorado food. I just forgot.
It looked a lot like this:
But more sloppy and misshapen.

4/29/15 I bought these in a gas station in order to be allowed to use the bathroom. No regrets.

4/29/15 Suppertime interlude. I really think that presentation is everything and so I usually want to take a photo when food first reaches me, but again, I forgot. So now we have this massacre. It was good though. The restaurant had weird vibes, but it had a salsa bar that housed some brilliant salsa and a shit ton of cilantro that you could put on all your food like I did here. I also had no problem with the shrimp quesadilla, despite some hesitation from others in the group.

4/30/15 Blueberry mini bagels with cream cheese that I bought at King Sooper's. I'd really like to know the backstory behind this King Sooper because he spells his name funny and he is friends enough with Kroger to sell their products. Does King Sooper reign over Kroger? Probably.

4/30/15 Things for the movie plus cough drops because I'm sickly. Not pictured: Orange chicken and noodle bowl from Panda Express.

5/1/15 KG made pancakes! And fried eggs! And I had my own blueberry cream cheese bagels again. Those eggs were super local. I thought they tasted way better than eggland's best. Also featured is Watermelon Lime tea.

5/1/15 This beautiful burger was from Big Daddy's Burger Bar and it was called Sam I Am. There was ham and pesto and a fried egg involved. Such a great combination. On the right are some bbq chicken nachos that featured a corn salsa and fresh pineapple. Yum.

5/1/15 At Sweet Action ice cream, I went all out. Hey it was my vacation. I got a double scoop cup of cherry basil and butter pecan. They both tasted great, although I kinda wish I would've tried the ginger lemon cookie ice cream instead of the cherry basil. I also got a peanut butter and chocolate ice cream sandwich. As I was eating this ice cream cookie sandwich in the car, C said it smelled like a butterfinger.

5/2/15 On my last morning in CO, KG made me a super delicious Eggs with the bread with the hole in the middle, or as they called it "Egg in the basket." I forgot to take a photo.

SPIRNG BERAK

To start off my spring break on the 23rd, I went to the Georgia aquarium with my some of my famz. It was tight.

{{{THE ABYSS}}}
Then the next day we had a sunday dinner and my uncle made this perfect, delicious cake. It had a chocolate cheesecake layer, that's how perfect it was.

Then on Monday I made this:

Focaccia

Tomato, basil, mozzarella pasta salad
And I took it to Birmingham to enjoy with these lovely knuckleheads:

I made & gave Rosh this shirt:
She seemed to like it.

Rosh and Bernard. Bernard is the cutest.

I went home to my parents house on Wednesday and George did this cute thing.

Wednesday night I decided I was going to fix the screen on my galaxy s3, which turned out poorly and left my phone in a vegetative state. I thought that I would have to use my brother's non smart phone for 3 weeks until I got paid and could afford to purchase a new galaxy. I told my parents about ruining my phone and they weren't that mad and my dad even remembered that he had his captivate, which is the same phone I had before it broke and I got my galaxy. So it's all good in the hood now. But I'm still going to buy another galaxy.

On Thursday I organized a lunch with ClaireyD, Bram, Luke, Brian, & AlexJohnson at Nothing but Noodles. It went swimmingly. Gave Luke an early bday present. I think he enjoyed it.
AlexJohnson invited me to trivia that night and it was the same group that went to lunch plus about ten more people. Our team name was Mo Money Mo Tacos :D and Bram won us the 3rd place $5 dollar gift card which he got to keep because it only seemed right.
And then some people went back to Bram & AK's place and we watched an episode of fringe and then an episode of house hunters and then an episode of something on the cooking channel. And then and then and then and then and then and then and then.
That reminds me, am I the only one that didn't know that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were having a baby?! For some reason I always think of Ashton Kutcher as a perpetual bachelor.

This photo was an accident,
but it shows this awesome tardis blanket that I used
while I was at their house.
This shows how badly no one wanted to sit next to me.
That kind of offended me... but then AK sat next to me and
my insecurities decreased.

Today I ate some bangin' Panera with ClaireyD and had some invigorating conversation about literally everything and it was good. Then we went to zen beri and harassed Luke by text message and ate some fantastic gummy bears. Everything was awesome.

Most recently, I've been sat in my bed listening to Sebastian play video games and laughing hysterically at cat gifs and I also made some peanut butter cookies earlier. And now we're about to play battle block theater or n+ so I'm gonna go.

done goofed

I accidentally skipped a post yesterday. I was distracted because I was playing mystery date with Fal, Jenna & Smells!
We also made these little cakes. Aren't they cute?

Nope

That alarm clock app worked for 2 days and then I got used to it and now I can pretty much do the puzzles while I'm sleeping. I can't seem to find a way to wake myself up pleasantly and keep myself awake.

I was typing a paper for graphic design earlier and under one of the words was a green squiggly line indicating grammar error, I guess. When I right clicked, it said to use a semi-colon and not a comma. My question is this: How the hell does Word know that I need a semi-colon? Does it know all of the subjects and verbs and knows when there are 2 full sentences side by side? I guess that's not the craziest thing a computer can do, but I don't know. I just am not smarter than the computer today.

So on Tuesday my alarm from my phone went off in class. Why it was set for 9:30a on a weekday, I'll never know. But as punishment for disrupting class, the art department has this policy that you have to bring cookies when your phone goes off. My prof was super excited that this happened because, I mean, cookies. Anyway, there's only 11 people in that class so I asked what flavor they wanted and this guy said how about those delicious cookies from Zaxby's, but this other guy was like nah, they have chips ahoy on sale at Winn Dixie, just get those. BY THE WAY, the guy that said that used to play in a band with Derek Birdsong! Crazy. Of all the people, my next door neighbor played in a band with a guy in my photo class. Back to the cookies, there were a couple people that said homemade and this girl who I kind of consider a friend said m&m. Being the Suzy Homemaker that I am, I made homemade m&m ones.

Now this makes me super nervous because now I have to hear judgement on them. Also, what if my most mortifying fear comes true and a classmate finds a hair in a cookie. I hope that it's highly unlikely because I tied my hair back and I even took a lint roller to my shirt and I also tried not to lean over the mix while I was mixing. I take so many precautions against that because I have found one too many of my dear mom's hairs in my food growing up and almost nothing makes my stomach turn faster. Sorry, mom!
I just hope they're edible. My grandmother tried one, but she's not going to say that they're gross to my face. I tried one too, but I'll eat anything. At least they look pretty!

Truth be told, I was looking more forward to Christmas breakfast than to presents. Mom made snowman pancakes just for me!

CHILI

It's our family's annual Chili & Christmas Tree cake/Gadsden Christmas Parade day. I'm not going to the parade, but I am partaking in the delicious chili.

Tiny

Have you ever been to Logan's? They have teeny tiny little desserts. It was delicious though.
