Lately

This is my latest work in progress. The colorway is fantastic. I'm hoping I'll have enough yarn to finish a substantial scarf. I have another ball about twice the size of this one that I'll add when the current one runs out so I'm not too worried. I can't remember where I bought this though. That may present a problem. My 2nd anniversary of learning how to knit is in about a month and I'm still horrible at knowing how much yarn I'll need for any given project.
I've recently learned how to knit the brioche stitch, which is what the scarf above is, and I've started 4 different scarfs with it. Who knows if I'll ever finish them. Oh snap I just thought of something.  My mom is thinking about learning to knit & if she does then I can pawn a couple scarfs off on her to finish! Excellent idea.

The other day when I went to the museum with Clairey D and LS, L mentioned that his mom wanted to commission some beard hats. I decided I'm totally not going to take any payment, because his mom is too awesome. She is so sweet and she seems to think I'm nice enough, too. I can't comprehend it, but I try not to think about it too much.

On being productive

I also folded up this paper Rapunzel for my boss's daughter's birthday. It's kinda janky, but it took me forever.

My sleep schedule

is all fucked up.
I'm going to be driving back to Gadsden tomorrow which will suck because I HATE driving and it's already 4AM so that means I'll probably be waking up super late tomorrow & I haven't even packed yet.
4 weeks worth of dirty clothes plus all my Christmas presents need to be put into my car. Buh.
Good news though. I'm super excited about sleeping on my new mattress at G&P's. My mattress here in Madtown is super sucky & it makes me achy. Probably my favorite Christmas present was a new mattress. :)

Is it weird that I'm scared to take my car by myself into a car wash? Gives me anxiety.

So I'm on day 3 of weight watchers & I like it so far. I'm in the phase where I'm just trying to understand what goes into my mouth everyday. I have a massive amount of points right now so it's super easy to eat whatever I want. I'm going to start exercise phase Monday.

Remind me to finish watching United States of Tara.

Finally finals

So last week totally sucked. Mostly because I stressed so much and didn't actually study. I should've sucked it up & studied. Now I'm going to have a horrible gpa. I won't be able to get into the English honor society. I'll be a poor bum forever.
Why am I an English major, again?


In happier, less sucky news, I can now get back to my knitting full time!!!!!!!! I found this fucking awesome beer sweater pattern yesterday & I'm going to make them for EVERYONE. I don't care if they don't drink beer. They will start once they see how mo-effing adorable the little bottle sweaters are.

God I love knitting, but also I am so bad at it. All of my things turn out crooked and janky!


Sidenote: I must clarify that my Grandmother does not openly hate gays; She does so quietly in the privacy of her own home. It's not good either way, but I think it's better than running your big dumb mouth about it.

I've spent the better part of my day watching Kids React & I was surprised at how many "viral" videos I hadn't actually seen. I put viral in quotations because I hate the word viral & I would never describe anything as that and it's like part of Kids React To...'s title screen. Also, I just wanted to be pretentious. I love the word pretentious!


In Other News (I think if I don't make it as a librarian, I get a bunch of plastic surgery and become a news anchor)

My great aunt wants me to knit her a couple hats for her adorable baby granddaughter. She only sent me photos of hats though... I'm good but I'm not that good. Haha. Kinda need a pattern. I feel pretty honored that she asked because I know she's really awesome at crochet so she could have just made the kid a cool crochet hat. At the same time, sucks because I'll have to make these hats a priority when I already have been slacking on all these other projects I want to do. I AM SUCH A PROCRASTINATOR. She's buying the yarn so heyyyyyyy. I'll do anything for free yarn.

•Day 14: Somewhere you went today.

This looks like it would be a computer lab for students, but it's really not. The IT department of JSU works here & I am a student worker here. Until they get tired of how I show up late everyday & then I'll be fired.

Hopefully that won't happen.

Day 17: Have you ever had a project that you loved become ruined? What’s the story behind it?

I started on a green striped hat for MS in like August or something and I took it to work with me on a day that my boss wasn't there because I would have massive amounts of free time. Then I spilled diet dr. pepper all over the place in the office & I didn't have any paper towels to clean it up with. I just used the yarn to soak it up. That pretty much destroyed that project. I wasn't about to give MS a diet dr. pepper stained hat.

P.S. Rest in Peace, Steve Jobs. You were a cool dude.
